Teej is a unique festival for women and it last for three days. It is celebrated in various parts of India. It is a combination of lavish feasts and rigid fasting. Basically, it is celebrated for the well-being and marital bliss and of their spouse as well as children. |

The Teej festival is celebrated in the months of July and August or early September. It is also known as Sawan Festival as it falls at the outbreak of monsoons. This festival is dedicated to the reunion of the divine couple- Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. There are three kinds of Teej festival: Haryali Teej, Kajari Teej and Kajari Teej. |
