|Pramod Venkatesh Mahajan known as Pramod Mahajan was a well-known Indian politician. He was one of the most influential second generation of the Bhartiya Janta Party. He was born in Andhra Pradesh, India on October 30, 1949 to a Rigvedi Brahmin family. His studied at Yogeshwari Vidyalaya and Mahavidyalaya in Maharashtra and then joined Ranade Institute of Journalism, Pune. He became a member of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh from the days of his childhood. His interest grew while working as a sub-editor for a Marathi Magazine. He participated in the agitation against the emergency imposed by Indira Gandhi. Mahajan played a crucial role in the late 1980, during the coalition era.
