Khatta Mango Dal



Khatta Mango Dal is a common dish and is eaten as a side dish with boiled rice. As the name suggest, the dal is sour in nature. Mangos are added to this dish to elevate its sour taste.
To make this delicious tango dal, firstly, pour water in a pan and add lentil to the water. Add turmeric powder and salt to it and boil for sometime. In another pan boil pieces of mango till they are soft and tender. Once both the dal and mango gets boiled, heat oil in a pan and add dry chillies in it. When the chillies turn dark pour the dal as well as the boiled mangos and cook again for about 3 minutes. Khatta mango dal is ready.
