Imli Chutney



Imli chutney is a sweet and sour chutney that is made of tamarind pulp. Generally, it is served with pakoras and chaats. This chutney is very handy as it has a long self life. The ingredients that are required to make this chutney are tamarind juice, jaggery, saunf or fennel seeds, jeera powder, a pinch of white and black salt, a pinch of red chillies powder and one teaspoon sugar.
To make this chutney, first of all bring the tamarind juice to a boil. Then, add jaggery along with all the other ingredients and continue to boil for a few more minutes till the juice becomes syrupy. Cool and store in an air-tight container.
