Id-ul-fitr is a famous Muslim celebration. It is popularly known as the "Festival of Breaking of the Fast", and is celebrated as soon as the new moon is seen at the end of the month of fasting, namely Ramadan. This festival celebrates the end of Ramzan, the Muslim month of fasting. It is an occasion of feasting, rejoicing and jubiliation. |

On this day, the devotees gather in the mosques to pray to God Almighty. The friends and relatives meet and exchange greetings and gifts on this day.
People wear new clothes to mark the occasion; many mouth watering delicacies are prepared to be served to the guests and family members. Children are given 'Idi' in the form of cash or gifts by the elders. |
