Gajar Ka Halwa



Gajar Ka Halwa is a North Indian sweet that is prepared for almost all occasions and festivals. It is a sweet loaded with lots of ghee, milk and raisins. To prepare this sweet it takes about 30 to 45 minutes and can be easily made at home.
To begin with the gajar ka halwa, grate the gajar (carrot) first. Take a deep frying pan and heat the ghee. Add the grated carrot and continuously keep stirring till they become slightly reddish in colour. Once the carrot turns red add milk to it and stir continuously. After 10 minutes, add sugar and dry fruits to the mixture. Keep stirring till the milk dries up. Once the milk is dried up either serve hot or cold.
