Desert Festival, Jaisalmer


Desert Festival is an annual three day event, organised in the beautiful city, Jaisalmer, in the month of February. It represents the rich and colourful Rajasthani folk culture and ends on the day of Poornima.
The major attraction of this festival includes folk song, dance, mystical snake charmer, traditional gymnast, puppet show and captivating folk music performances. Along with these, a number of competitions are also held, such as the longest moustache competition and the turban tying competition. The camels too take part in number of events including camel dance and camel polo. The Desert Festival is organised in association with the Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation, Jaisalmer.
