These species varies in size and colours as per the area where they can be found. Most of all the deer species have fissure below their eyes. Unlike other ruminates, most of the Indian deer have horns. The antlers are a solid bone and re-grow again after being shed on regular internals. On the other hand the horns of bovidae are permanent.
