City Palace Jaipur


City Palace forms one of the most famous tourist attractions in Jaipur. The beautiful palace was built by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh during his reign. The additional grand buildings were constructed later by the succeeding rulers. City Palace Jaipur is actually famous for its art and architecture.

The complex is divided into a series of courtyards, gardens and buildings. It consists of several other palatial structures like the Chandra Mahal, Mubarak Mahal, Badal Mahal, Shri Govind Dev Temple and the City Palace Museum.

City Palace Jaipur is a blend of traditional Rajasthan and Mughal architecture. The vast palace complex occupies one seventh of the walled city of Jaipur.
