|In 1996, a Business Development Directorate was set up with the purpose of promoting and marketing premium services for meeting the requirements of specific customer segments. Some of the business development activities of this department are speed post, business post, Express Parcel Post, Media Post, Retail Post, Greetings Post and Speed Net.
On January 3, 2002, the Internet based track and trace service was launched. Apart from offering tracking facility for Speed Post articles to the customer, it also provides information to the management about business performances, quality of service, customer services and marketing. Today, it is operational from all 150 National Speed Post Centres.
