|On the day of the wedding, the bride sits on a horse which is decorated and along with his family, friends and relatives, goes to the wedding venue. It may be the bride’s home or a common venue. A grand procession reaches there in the form of the Barat and the people who participate are called the baratis. They dance on music and reach while celebrating.
The groom and his family are welcomed by the bride’s family. A formal introduction is made and this is called the milni. The baratis are then offered snacks and foods and also dinner as they are the revered guests of the bride’s parents for the wedding.
